Hello! This is edm Korean Global Campus :D Today, our students and I visited the National Palace Museum of Korea, located inside Gyeongbokgung Palace, one of Seoul’s most iconic royal palaces.
안녕하세요! edm 한국어학원입니다 :D 오늘은 우리 학생들과 함께 서울의 대표적인 궁궐, 경복궁 안에 자리한 국립고궁박물관에 다녀왔어요.
From the royal stories of the 500-year Joseon Dynasty to the history of the Korean Empire, this museum is a special place where you can explore the world of Korea’s royal families all in one spot. After taking a relaxing walk around Gyeongbokgung Palace, it’s easy to continue your visit at the museum, which makes it a perfect cultural outing in Seoul!
500년 역사를 이어온 조선 왕조의 왕실 이야기부터 대한제국 황실의 모습까지, 한국 왕실의 모든 것을 한눈에 살펴볼 수 있는 특별한 공간이에요. 경복궁을 산책하듯 둘러본 뒤 자연스럽게 박물관까지 함께 관람할 수 있어서, 서울 나들이 코스로도 정말 추천하고 싶은 곳이랍니다!
The museum is conveniently located right next to Exit 5 of Gyeongbokgung Station (Line 3), so it’s very easy to find—even for first-time visitors.
지하철 3호선 경복궁역 5번 출구로 나오면 바로 옆에 위치해 있어 찾아가기도 아주 편리해요. 처음 방문하는 학생들도 어렵지 않게 도착할 수 있어 더욱 좋았어요.
During our visit, we explored the daily lives, royal attire, and ceremonial traditions of the Joseon royal family and the Korean Empire. Since it was a weekday afternoon, the exhibition halls were quiet and comfortable, allowing us to fully appreciate each artifact at our own pace. The students were amazed by the elegance and intricate details of the royal treasures, often saying, “Wow!” as they looked around.
우리는 조선 왕실과 대한제국 황실의 생활, 의복, 의식 문화 등을 중심으로 관람했어요. 평일 오후라 전시실이 한적하고 쾌적해서 작품 하나하나를 여유롭게 감상할 수 있었답니다. 학생들은 화려하면서도 섬세한 왕실 유물들을 보며 “와!” 하고 감탄을 연발했어요.
It was a meaningful experience where we could see and feel the beauty and dignity of Korea’s royal heritage up close, while gaining a deeper understanding of traditional Korean culture and history.
아름답고 품격 있는 왕실 유산을 가까이에서 직접 보고 느끼며, 한국의 전통 문화와 역사에 대해 한층 더 깊이 이해할 수 있었던 의미 있는 시간이었어요.
Spending the day in Seoul—where Korea’s past and present coexist—made this cultural experience even more special. We’re already excited about where our next adventure will take us!
