Korean Course
edm Korean Global Campus ("edm" or "The school") is a provider of Korean courses. All courses are offered subject to availability.
By applying to study at edm Korean Global Campus, you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions, which are subject to review by the edm and may be modified from time to time.
If the application form is signed on behalf of the student, these terms and conditions are still applied.
Enrollment Process
- Send your completed application form to admin@edmkorean.com
- We will confirm your signed application and issue a booking confirmation and invoice.
- Once you have received the invoice from edm Korean please make your payment. You must pay fees no later than 2 weeks before the start of the class, and you send full fees in Korean won.
- Letter of Acceptance and receipt will be issued after via e-mail after your payment is received. All details of your course will be sent to you 1 week prior to your course start date.
- Please notify us immediately of any changes to your proposed course start date by contacting admin@edmkorean.com
- Upon your arrival to the school on the first day, there will be an Orientation. During the Orientation, our staff will inform you about school policy and life in Korea. Your classes begin at 9:00am. Please arrive by 8:30am on your first Monday. It is important that all new students begin on a Monday.
Accommodation & Pick-up Service
- If you have booked homestay or residence or mini studio accommodation, please arrive on Sunday. You should apply at least 4 weeks before your intended arrival in Korea to allow us plenty of time to find the most suitable accommodation for you.
- Provide us with your flight details (flight number, date & time of arrival) at least 3 weeks before you arrive.
- Accommodation and Pick-up details will be issued to the student after receipt of required fees. We will endeavor to release accommodation details 1 week prior to arrival.
- Any special requirements must be notified to edm at the time of booking.
- Full payment must be made to the School at the time of booking. No accommodation will be reserved until payment has been received.
- All accommodation is subject to availability and edm reserves the right to make changes to your accommodation arrangement without advance notice due to emergency / circumstances beyond the School's control.
- If the student extends their accommodation booking, the School cannot guarantee the same accommodation will be available for the extension period. If a change of accommodation is needed, the student is responsible for paying for transfer service to the new accommodation.
- Accommodation Check-In (every Saturday otherwise indicated) is available one day before the course starts.
- Accommodation Check-Out (every Saturday otherwise indicated) is the day after the course completion.
Note for booking edm - Studio
- The cleaning fee (80,000 won) will not be invoiced. Upon Check-Out, the deposit will be refunded in cash (KRW), minus the cleaning fee.
- Included: bed, table, chairs, refrigerator, washing machine, TV, electric kettle, High Speed Wi-Fi.
- Excluded: Bedding, detergent, toilet paper, tableware, and other consumables.
Payment
- When you have received an invoice, proceed to make the course payment to complete your registration. Registration fee is only for the first time of the registration.
- To make full payment no later 2 weeks prior to your arrival and payment should be in Korean Won (KRW currency).
- Payment must include all bank transfer charges (including intermediary bank charges).

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Important: The registration fee is non-refundable. Bank charge will be deducted from any refund made by edm via bank transfer. Refund will be disbursed within 4 weeks of approval.
Cancellation by Student Before Course Starting Date
All cancellation must be made in writing addressed to "CS Team – edm Korean Global Campus" before the course commencement date and take effect from date, we receive such notice. Cancellations are not effective until they are received in writing.

Additional Refund Policies
- If you defer the date of commencement of your course, then proceed to cancel your course prior to the new commencement date, the cancellation policy will apply from the initial course state date and not the deferred start date.
- edm does not provide visas to students. edm can only provide students with relevant documents to obtain a working holiday visa, K-ETA, and other visas, but edm is not responsible for whether the documents are suitable for visa issuance.
- When visa issuance is not possible or delayed, the general cancellation and refund policy will also apply. No exceptions to cases when admission is difficult due to natural disasters or personal illness.
- If a student decides to finish the course early or discontinues the course once the course has started, no part of the course fees will be refunded or transferred.
- If a student arrives late for the start of the course, misses classes through illness or holiday, or is asked to leave the School because of serious misconduct or poor attendance, no refund is possible.
- If students do not provide details of the student's flight, arrival airport, arrival time the School will be unable to arrange transfer and no refund will Pick-up fee is not refundable. If any transfer information changes, the School must receive the updated details in writing as least 72 hours before departure. Please note that if the School is unable to cancel the original transfer booking, the student will need to pay additional charges.
- Refunds will only be paid in the same currency in which the fees were received.
- edm may make reasonable variations to the delivery of programs (course times, teachers, timetables, classrooms)
- edm reserves the right to charge an administration fee of KRW 100,000 each time course type, start date or type of accommodation is changed or postponed after confirmed the initial enrollment.
Public Holiday
- edm will be closed on public holidays and do not make up for lessons missed on these dates.
- There is no refund for lessons missed due to a public holiday.
- All published course start dates fall on a Monday. If the Monday is a public holiday, the start date will fall on a Tuesday.
Reduction of Lesson
edm reserves the right to reduce or integrate classes due to insufficient number of students.
Expulsion
- edm reserves the right to expel students for unacceptable or unlawful behavior or lack of attendance.
- No refund and any unpaid fees become immediately payable. Students are responsible for the cost of repatriation.
- When a student behaves in violation of the accommodation rules, the person in charge of the accommodation has the authority to expel the student. In this case, the student must follow the rules of the accommodation, and there will be no refund.
- Students expelled from an edm are no longer eligible for edm housing.
- edm has a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, bullying and harassment in the classroom; Discrimination, bullying and harassment of any kind is unacceptable, against the law, and will not be tolerated.
Inappropriate Conduct Includes:
- Disruptions to the learning environment (use of profanity, harassment, etc.)
- Deliberate destruction, misuse, or theft of edm property or the property of fellow classmates
- Violence or threats of violence towards persons or property of students or school staff
Privacy Policy
- By making a booking with edm Korea the student is agreeing to the storage and us of their information for edm Korea's purposes only.
- The school will share student's personal details only with third party providers who are contracted to provide a specific service on behalf of edm Korea and require the information to perform their function (e.g. taxi transfers, accommodation providers). The school will pass on student details to Korea government agency es if legally required to do so.
- The school may use photographs or videos taken during the course in promotional materials such as brochures, handbooks, websites and social networking sites.
- Students agree that photographs, videos, or other works, as well as recorded or written testimonials; may be used, stored or transferred internationally by edm Korean Global Campus, for promotional purposes including printed and online marketing materials and on any social media network without further consent or notification.

Liability
- The school is not liable for damage resulting from circumstances beyond its control.
- Students are unsupervised outside of class times, including travel between their accommodation and the school.
- Students must pay for any damages caused by them to edm property or to property in which they are housed.
- edm and its staff and representatives will not be liable for loss, damage or injury to persons or property howsoever caused, except where liability is expressly imposed by law.
Respecting Your Privacy
- edm takes every precaution to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, you should note there are inherent risks associated with transmission of information via the Internet.
- Students should make your own assessment of the potential risks to the security of your information when making a decision as to whether or not to transmit information to edm by electronic means.
