edmKorean Activities [액막이 명태 도어벨 만들기 Making a Akmagi Myeongtae Doorbell]

Hello! This is edm Korean Global Campus :D Today, we had a special class where our students made their own “Akmagi Myeongtae Doorbells”!

안녕하세요! edm 한국어학원입니다 :D 오늘은 우리 학생들과 함께 “액막이 명태 도어벨” 만들기 시간을 가졌어요!

“Akmagi Myeongtae” is a traditional item believed to ward off bad energy and bring in good fortune. These days, people often hang them on doors with small bells or use them as stylish interior decorations. With its meaningful symbolism and cute appearance, it’s a very popular activity among our international students!

“액막이 명태”는 옛날부터 나쁜 기운을 막고 좋은 기운을 불러준다고 전해지는 특별한 아이템이에요. 요즘에는 귀여운 종을 달아 문에 걸어 두거나, 감각적인 인테리어 소품으로도 많이 사용되고 있답니다. 의미도 좋고, 보기에도 사랑스러워서 외국인 학생들에게도 정말 인기 있는 활동이에요!

In today’s class, each student chose their favorite colors and enjoyed painting freely. After adding colorful touches and letting the paint dry, they carefully threaded the pieces onto a string and attached a bell. Everyone stayed focused as their creations slowly came together! And for the final step, they wrote their own wishes on the back to complete their pieces. For the final touch, each student wrote their own personal wish on the back, completing their unique piece.

이번 수업에서는 각자 마음에 드는 색을 골라 자유롭게 색칠해 봤어요. 알록달록 색을 입히고, 물감이 마르면 끈에 하나씩 끼워 넣고 종까지 달아주면… 점점 완성되어 가는 모습에 모두들 집중! 그리고 마지막으로 뒷면에 자신만의 소원을 정성스럽게 적어 주면 완성이에요.

Each student worked with great care. Their thoughtful color choices and the sincerity they put into their wishes were especially impressive. When everything was finished, the classroom filled with excitement as everyone admired their creations! 

학생들 한 명 한 명 정말 정성껏 만들었는데요, 색 조합도 센스 있게 고르고, 소원도 진지하게 고민하는 모습이 정말 인상적이었어요. 완성된 작품을 보며 “와~!” 하고 감탄하는 순간, 교실 분위기도 한층 더 밝아졌답니다.

We hope these cute and meaningful Akmagi Myeongtae bring lots of positive energy to our students. And we sincerely hope that all of their wishes come true! 

귀엽고 의미까지 담긴 액막이 명태와 함께 우리 학생들에게도 좋은 기운이 가득 전해지길 바라요. 그리고 적은 소원도 모두 이루어지길 진심으로 응원합니다!
